At TLC (founded as the Tammy Lynn Center), families count on consistent support from day programs and therapies to 24/7 residential care and care management. heart-to-heart is our year-end campaign to keep that support strong. We call on our community of care to stand with us to help raise $225,000 through heart-to-heart. When you give this year, you help people with I/DD and their families experience connection, growth, and moments of joy all season long.
For Jenny and Felix Chandler, the search for the right program for their daughter Grace was long, emotional, and often discouraging. “Finding great care is challenging,” Jenny explained. “That summer, when we were looking for care and opportunities, we were about in tears trying to find something for her.” When the family discovered TLC, they felt something they hadn’t in months—hope.
Today, the Chandlers describe TLC as both a lifeline and a source of peace. Grace attends TLC’s day program and calls TLC home in one of our community residential homes where she receives 24/7 living support with three other housemates. Grace is empowered daily to live her fullest life with community, dignity, care, and connection. The Chandlers are empowered to live their fullest life as parents with hope and joy, seeing their daughter thriving.
