Community Living & Supports

Community Living & Supports (CLS) empowers individuals to learn new skills and/or improve existing skills. Areas of skill-building and attainment include interpersonal, independent living, community living, self-care, and self-determination. CLS also provides supervision and assistance to an individual to complete an activity to his/her level of independence. Areas of support consist of assistance in monitoring a health condition, nutrition or physical condition, supervision, daily living skills, community participation, and interpersonal skills. Supports may be provided at the individual’s home or in a community setting.

Community Networking

Community Networking (CN) services provide personalized day activities to support an individual’s definition of a meaningful day in integrated community settings. CN services enable individuals to increase or maintain their capacity for independence and develop the social skills to be successful in their community.

Respite

Respite services provide temporary relief for families and caregivers who care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This service enables the primary caregiver to meet or participate in planned or emergency events, and to have planned time for him/her and/or family members. Respite Care helps reduce family stress, thereby helping preserve the family unit and support family stability in the home.
